Koliada

‘Koliada' is a photo-video project documenting the experience of the winter solstice (Bountiful Mating), later on appropriated by Christianity.

The project shows that spirituality can also be found in secularity. After all, God is a concept that goes beyond any religious framework. Divine energy is in each of us and in everything that surrounds us.

‘Koliada' symbolizes a moment of looking into the heart and opening to otherness. It symbolizes hope and a new beginning. ‘Koliada’ is a return to the roots, a step back to reevaluate the past and build something new on top of it. It is a rebirth after a time of strife.
